the Rehmel family

You know how you go through school, and you make different friends. Some friends you remember, some you kind of forget, but some are just unforgettable.  I had a friend like that in school, and her name was Krissy.  We became friends in 6th grade by chance when we were paired up for a skiing trip.  Nobody could make me laugh like her, and nobody understood me like her. We we complete goofballs, laughing at everything, and finding humor where there probably wasn’t any… but you know the friend I’m talking about, who can make you laugh at pretty much anything.  Fast forward quite a bit, after years that we had lost touch, we’ve become friends again. It’s funny to know the girl she was so long ago, and then to see her now, married, with a family.  She’s still the girl who can crack me up like no other, and it makes me so happy to see where she’s at in her life.  We did a family session last fall, and it’s probably one of my favorites. We thought it would be a fun session to start out in the water, and then just see where it went from that.  I love how it turned out!

Emery & Claire

These two kiddos belong to my best friend. I’ve watched them each grow since they were newborns, and I have to say (of course, I’m not biased at all), that they are two of the sweetest kids.  We don’t live next door to each other, but we make an effort to visit each other, or meet half way, when we can.  It’s such a blessing to let our kids play together, and to see friendships grow between both of our boys and both of our girls.  We may not live close, but when we all get together, we always pick up where we left off.

the Simpson Family

Every year that I photograph the Simpson kids, it just seems like it’s more fun than the last. Well this time it was even better because they decided to do family pictures!!!  This family is truly one of a kind, and I’m so glad that I was able to freeze this time in their lives for them to be able to look back at and remember.  We had fun like always, and I think we’ve finally decided that all of their sessions have to end with a dance off.  Otherwise it just wouldn’t be the same.  🙂

The Stout Family

Sitting here in January, I’m having a hard time remember just how warm (ok, hot) it was during this session.  It was a beautiful day though, lots of pretty sunshine, and a sweet family of three.  I’ve been photographing Bryn since she was a newborn, and I’ve loved watching her grow up so much!  We did the usual set up & posing for families, and then we had some real fun at the end.  Bryn LOVED the rocks & the water, and I’ll never forget the joy on her face as she played.  It was the perfect ending for a perfect little girl.

Brittany

Senior photo shoots tend to be some of my favorites.  And Brittany’s session was that & more.  This girlie is beautiful on the outside, and so much more on the inside!  We incorporated a few of her ideas into her session, and I love how they turned out!

I hope you enjoy these as much as me!!
